Clinton Matkins, DDS, MBA
Following graduation from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston, Dr. Matkins attended residency in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks where he obtained his Advanced Education in General Dentistry certification. There he received advanced training in the areas of implant dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, sedation, laser, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontal surgery. He has a passion for helping people improve their overall health and quality of life by improving their oral health, function, and appearance.
Dr. Matkins decided he wanted to pursue a career as a dentist when he was twelve years old. He feels blessed to live out his lifelong dream of serving others every day as a dentist. He has always believed that a smile can change a person’s life and desires to be a part of that change, big or small. He has been involved with serving others in the community through organizations such as Texas Mission of Mercy, Casa El Buen Samaritano, and WelcomeHealth.
Dr. Matkins’ professional affiliations include American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, Christian Medical & Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Get to Know Dr. Matkins
Dr. Matkins grew up in the Clear Lake area and attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Biology and his Master of Business Administration in Management. He met his wife, Amber, through a mutual friend while working at Patterson Dental Supply prior to dental school. Amber is an Occupational Therapist who specializes in pediatrics. Both Dr. Matkins and his wife have a passion for serving others. They are active in their church and enjoy spending time outdoors, playing golf, disc golf and spending time with family and friends.
